What Matters This Month: March 2023
We are rolling right on through 2023! Can’t believe its March already!! Remember in elementary school when we would say “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb?” What does that even mean anyway? According to Farmers Almanac it means that March starts out with stormy weather and ends with more calm and docile weather. It also says that this phrase is just a children’s rhyme and basically hogwash. Nonetheless, March has lots going on and lots to be on the lookout for.
What to Celebrate
Someone sound the trumpets! March ushers in what we recognize as National Women’s History Month. Take some time this month to recognize and acknowledge contributions made to your world by the activism, creativity, intellect and influence of women. March 17th is when the masses pf people all wear green and essentially many celebrate Irish culture and Saint Patrick’s Day. March is also Irish-American Heritage month. Attend a parade, decorate with shamrocks, attend a pub crawl and more.

March is the month to be thinking ahead. Stores like to discount tax pre items ahead of the looming tax day in April. Perfect time to but Tax Software if you are in need of that sort of thing.
Just the same, retailers are helping you get the jump on your spring cleaning. If you’ve go your eye on one of thos fancy vacuums, this month is a great time to get a bargain.
What to Put on Your To-Do List
Spring is nearly here! For those of you who are into growing things now is the time to come up with a plan and to get your garden together. You should clean your garden up, start ordering your seeds, and growing your seedlings indoors.
I know you are not looking forward to it but Daylight' Savings Time is STILL a thing and on March 12th you will need to set your clocks (or expect your clocks to change automatically) forward one hour.
Tuesday, March 14th, is also what is known as “Pi” Day in some circles and you should be on the lookout for some freebies from places that sell pie and pizza pies!
Begin taking Inventory of your cleaning supplies so that you will be good and ready for spring cleaning since the first day of Spring is March Monday, March 20th.
